Amberley Gardens Open - 10th June 2018
Residents in the picturesque village of Amberley, West Sussex are busily tending their gardens in preparation for the biennial Gardens Open event on 10th June 2018 from 12 until 6.00 pm, which will raise funds for local children's charity Action Medical Research.
This wonderful community event has been running for 28 years and you will see 18 beautiful gardens open to the public as well as the even popular plant stall, tombola, ploughman's lunch and village cream teas and the raffle includes a magnificent designer hand made quilt.
Jacqui Feakins and Suzie Coates, co-chairmen of the Amberley committee who are organising the Gardens Open Day said ‘This event is hugely enjoyable and its success depends on very many people being involved in helping. The community really pulls together whether it’s baking cakes, selling plants, marshaling cars or opening a garden, it makes a day to remember'.
Cost £6 (children under 12 free of charge) will be available on the day from The Square, junction Church Street and Church Street at the junction with Hog Lane.
